HEALTH

Annual Check-up with Doctor
Body Image, Mental Health, and Masculinity

The Health strand addresses the critical intersections between masculinity and health, including body image issues, mental health, and the impact of traditional masculine norms on well-being. Participants will explore how traits like toughness, self-sufficiency, and stoicism, often promoted by recuperative masculinity movements, can harm men's and boys' health. We will highlight initiatives and programs that encourage men to embrace more caring, supportive, and emotionally expressive forms of masculinity. This strand aims to promote a holistic understanding of health that includes physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
